What an experience it has been! Hi my name is Angelique and I first got in contact with Accent Health in January of this year to try and secure an employment offer. From the start Prudence was there to support me, by answering questions and concerns I had and nothing was too much for her. She became more than a contact in New Zealand but a friend. By the end of February I had a job offer from St Georges hospital in Christchurch, which they were prepared to hold for me for three months giving me ample time to sort out all the legalities needed to move to a new country . I let Prudence know when my family and I would be arriving, which happened to be on a Sunday. Prudence was there to meet us. She took us to a B and B and presented us with a hamper of goodies to welcome us, and a cell phone for me which was great so I could contact my family straight away.
Accent Health also paid for the first three nights at the B and B. Prudence stayed in touch with us to see if we were managing and offered to help with anything we needed. In the first week we bought a car, rented a house and opened a bank account. All the people we have had dealings with have been friendly and helpful. We have now been in Christchurch just under two months and except for missing the family back home we have no regrets. The people at work are also very welcoming and helpful.
My daughter age 12 has settled into school and has made friends already. My husband will be starting work soon. So life is good. New Zealand is a great place to be and I am looking forward to what the rest of my life in this wonderful country will bring.
