Julie Dennison, Operating Department Practitioner from UKMy name is Julie Dennison and I came from the UK to work at Southern Cross Hospital in Wellington as an Anaesthetic Technican. My new job is fantastic and everyone at work has made me very welcome and been so supportive. I attended a NZ Expo in Earls court, London where I met Prudence from Accent. I decided to use Accent because of their in-depth knowledge of the role of both ODP'S in the UK and Anaes Techs in NZ.
The team took the time to get to know both my husband and myself. They all looked after us so well, nothing is too much trouble for them. They help with all aspects of the move, not just the immigration process. What has impressed me the most, is that they want to find you the right job in the right location so that both you and your new employer will be happy. I cannot thank them all enough for their excellent help.
We are very happy in NZ, life is more relaxed and everyone is so friendly. It has been such a busy time getting here and getting settled but it really is worth it. My advice is start planning early, get as much as you can before getting that job offer, as when you do everything happens very quickly
