Hi, my name is Rebecca Abbott.  I am a Staff Nurse and I came to NZ in June 2012, from England.  The process to come to NZ took me around 7 months and the easiest part of the process was finding a job. The most challenging part of the process was making the initial decision to come to New Zealand!!

My first impressions of NZ were that whilst New Zealand (as a country) has a lot of similarities to the UK it is very different in many, many ways.  The best parts of NZ are the friendly New Zealanders, relaxed culture and beautiful scenery.  What I miss the most is my family and friends.

My advice if you are planning to come to NZ is plan and prepare well!  Don't be afraid to ask questions and do your research!!
